Boston WordPress Meetup: Submitting Your First Plugin

Submitting your first plugin to WordPress.org

The Linchpin Team extends a special thanks to the Boston WordPress Meetup group for hosting an enjoyable and informative event earlier this week. Turnout was great, and our very own Aaron Ware gave a presentation about releasing your first plugin.

His talk outlined the steps to take your plugin from inception to deployment, along with the process it takes to release it to the community at large. Aaron also stressed the importance for the community to provide feedback, submit issues and recommend feature requests well after the plugin is released for continued improvement.

If you didn’t get the chance to visit Boston, but still want to learn more about how to release your first plugin, check out the presentation slides below.

Join the WordPress Rhode Island Meetup group here, or follow @WordPressRI to keep up with the latest. We’d love to hear from you and are always on the lookout for new speakers and venues. Hope to see you at the next Meetup!
